Who is j.brown?

I am an artist, designer, and future television host in training. My passion lies in sustainable systems and green building projects where the local citizens get to participate; developing healthy environments and responsible product design that betters the lives of the users. My services includes:

-Product, package, graphic, and furniture design

-Home decorating & light remodeling
-Class instruction

When it comes to design, taking the concept and dedication of the one-off studio piece and synthesizing that with the possibility of mass production in a smart, responsible, and waste-less way is the way I like to work. I aim to be proud of the objects that I make for people. Each piece should facilitate the experience between the task and the user. As a designer, I love to make things. It's why I get out of bed in the afternoon. As an observer of our environment, I seek out problems and welcome the opportunity to solve those everyday challenges.

I have an MID from RISD and a BFA in Furniture Design from Murray State University in Kentucky. Currently, I am freelancing and am also available to host your next gig.
